Sunday evening's contest with the Buffalo Sabres turned in the Rangers favor when the home team was handed a 5-on-3 power play, and an extended 5-on-4 after Patrick Kaleta was assessed a major penalty for boarding, and a game misconduct, for hitting Brad Richards from behind with the Blueshirts already on the power play. It took Derek Stepan seven seconds to score and tie the game 1-1 on the 5-on-3, and 43 seconds later Rick Nash rifled home a 5-on-4 power play goal to give the Rangers the lead. Both goals feature slick passing and quick puck movement, to go along with sweet finishes, and were as pretty as they were important.
