Rangers: Marian Gaborik has played only 16 career games against Ottawa, but he has registered 18 points in those games. The Senators are one of 11 teams that Gaborik has averaged at least a point-per-game against in his career. Gaborik has eight goals and ten assists all-time vs. the Sens, and he recorded a Hat Trick against Ottawa back on March 16, 2004 when he was a member of the Minnesota Wild. The Rangers leading scorer from a year ago, Gaborik currently leads the Blueshirts with seven goals this season.

Senators: Ottawa owns the league's second best penalty killing, working at a terrific 90.8 percent success rate so far in 2013. The Sens shut down the Islanders potent power play on Tuesday, killing off all four man disadvantages. They have allowed just one power play goal in the past six games, killing off 18 of their last 19 disadvantages in that span. And the Sens have surrendered only three power play goals in their last 13 games; and on the season have never allowed more than one power play goal in any one game.
