Tuesday Postgame Quotebook

“ I thought it was probably one of the worst hockey games I've ever been involved in, both teams. But they were better. ”
- John Tortorella
“ It's a game of patience when you play a team like this. They play extremely boring, but they're a smart team and they didn't give up much. We just didn't come up with the big plays in the end. ”
- Henrik Lundqvist
“ It was weird. It wasn't grinding. I don't know what it was (how Montreal played), but we needed to find a way to get to our game. I don't know what they were doing, but whatever it was, it worked. ”
- Brian Boyle

It was a frustrated group of Rangers that tried to explain Tuesday's 3-1 home-ice loss to the Montreal Canadiens. Frustrated with their own effort and play. And frustrated with how Montreal sucked the life from the game with a very boring---yet successful---style of play.

Following the game head coach John Tortorella, goaltender Henrik Lundqvist, and center Brian Boyle tried to make sense of things.

See what Torts, Lundqvist, and Boyle had to say, then share your comments below.
