Thursday was one special night for Rangers 19 year-old rookie J.T. MIller. Not only did he score his first NHL goal on his first shift on Madison Square Garden ice, but he later scored a scintillating breakaway goal on the power play which gave the Rangers a 3-1 lead at the time. Ryan McDonagh made a picture-perfect home run pass to a streaking Miller after the rookie had won a defensive zone faceoff, and Miller tore past the Islanders defense, breaking in alone on Evgeni Nabokov before beating the veteran netminder with a shot that the Isles goalie did get a piece of---but not enough to keep it from crossing the goal line.
