Henrik Lundqvist had a string of great saves this past week, many of them taking place during the first period of the Rangers 5-1 win against Tampa Bay on Sunday night. In that one period alone, according to head coach John Tortorella, Lundqvist faced six odd-man rushes and did not allow a single goal, allowing his team to escape the opening 20 minutes with a 2-0 advantage. The best of his saves came nearly nine minutes into the game when Vinny Lecavalier found an open Cory Conacher in front off a 2-on-1, but Lundqvist was positioned perfectly to rob the rookie of what seemed to be a sure-bet score.
