Marc Staal missed the first 36 games of the 2011-12 season due to a concussion, and when he did return to action it was a gradual process for him to get back into top form---something Staal said Tuesday that he believes did not happen until the 2012 Stanley Cup playoffs.
Completely healthy and recovered, and in peek physical condition, Staal has been champing at the bit to get the 2013 season underway. And on Tuesday he discussed how he feels physically, how vital the Rangers depth on defense is, and why it's not important to label either he, Dan Girardi, or Ryan McDonagh as the club's No. 1 defenseman.
