Nash Talks Fitting In With His New Team

“ Athletes enjoy the pressure, they embrace it. And that's no different here (for me). ”
- Rick Nash
“ In some ways you don't have to worry about 22 other guys. I had a lot weight on my shoulders to do that (in Columbus). Here there are so many leaders in the room that are respected in the dressing room, so it takes some of that away from me. ”
- Rick Nash
“ Each day is getting better. Today we had tons of (scoring) chances during the scrimmage. But during a shortened season it's going to be whoever jells the quickest, so we have to work hard and figure out each others' games. ”
- Rick Nash

Though he had worked out with his new teammates during the summer and some during the work stoppage, Rick Nash will only have six days of training camp before playing his first game with the Rangers on Saturday night in Boston.

After Day Two of training camp on Monday Nash discussed the importance of jelling with his new linemates and teammates, the pressure he faces in coming to New York, and not having the responsibility of being team captain with the Rangers after having worn the C in Columbus.
