"We Expect To Win"

“ We expect to win so we're going to go out there and do everything we've been doing well, and do it even better. ”
- JT Miller
“ I think we are a tighter-knit group than last year, which will help us in the long run. I think we are a little more physically and tougher than last year, which has lifted us into medal games this time. ”
- JT Miller
“ I think we knew we were still playing well (despite 2-1 losses to Russia and Canada). We could have won either of those games. Then we took the good things we did into the Sloavkian game and will do the same into the medal games. ”
- JT Miller

Playing in his second World Junior Championship tournament, JT Miller has helped lead the United States out of the preliminary round this year and into the medal round where Team USA faces off with the Czech Republic on Wednesday---something the U.S. squad failed to do a year ago.

Miller, an alternate captain on Team USA, has recorded three points in four games as the United States bookended close 2-1 defeats to Russia and Canada with convincing victories over Germany and Slovakia to close out the prelim round in third place in Group B with six points.

BlueshirtsUnited.com's Jim Cerny caught up with Miller in Ufa, Russia via e-mail on Tuesday, and the Rangers top pick in the 2011 NHL Draft shared his thoughts on the tournament to date.
