Practice Notes

The Rangers participated in an up-tempo hour-long practice Monday, following an off-day on Sunday, in preparation for Tuesday's contest on Long Island. Head coach John Tortorella said the line combinations he used in practice Monday will be the ones that he starts with on Tuesday: Anisimov-Stepan-Gaborik; Dubinsky-Boyle-Callahan; Fedotenko-Richards-Avery; and Deveaux-Christensen-Prust. All 21 players on the roster practiced, though Tortorella indicated that recently-signed defenseman Anton Stralman is not quite ready for game action as the Swede looks to get in better shape physically and also learns the Blueshirts system of play.
