There was a mixed bag of news for the Rangers at their practice on Friday afternoon at the MSG Training Center. On the positive side, center Brian Boyle---who has missed the previous two games of the playoffs due to a consuccion---returned to the ice and took part in practice. However on the negative side, Brandon Dubinsky did not practice with his teammates on Friday.
Dubinsky seemed to have been hurt during Thursday's Game 7 triumph over the Ottawa Senators, though head coach John Tortorella did not discuss Dubinsky's absence from practice on Friday at all. Therefore there is no way to determine Dubinsky's status for Saturday afternoon's series opener against the Washington Capitals at Madison Square Garden.
Boyle told reporters that he was so nervous during the final minutes of Game 7 Thursday that he sat by himself and watched the game clock count down inside the dressing room at The garden because he could not bear to watch the Rangers clinging to a one-goal lead with Ottawa pressing to tie.
