Practice Notes

After a day off Sunday, the Rangers returned to practiced Monday morning at the MSG Training Center. A pair of important forwards did not take part in practice, however, as Brandon Dubinsky was sidelined with the flu and Brad Richards was given a "maintenance day", according to head coach John Tortorella. The main point of emphasis at practice Monday was getting more shots on goal and generating more rebounds. "Not just the last game, because it's been in our game a little bit here, we are not getting enough rebound chances because we are missing the net so much, especially on the power play where we've missed the net a lot," explained Tortorella.
