Panthers 2 - Rangers 1

Back in action following Saturday's 4-0 loss in Montreal, the Rangers once again struggled offensively Wednesday night as they dropped a 2-1 decision to the Florida Panthers at the BankAtlantic Center. The Blueshirts managed only 20 shots on goal, with Derek Stepan netting their only goal 4:18 into the second period, cutting their deficit at the time to 2-1 following Panthers' goals by Jason Garrison (in the first period) and Kris Versteeg (early in the second). The Rangers killed off a five-minute major penalty called against Andre Deveaux midway through the second, with Henrik Lundqvist making seven of his 36 saves in that sequence, though that wasn't enough to turn the tide in the Blueshirts' favor.
