The Rangers spent Thanksgiving Day practicing at the Verizon Center before having a team dinner together later in the day. Though not with their families, it is still a special day for the players and coaches. "Being here on this day with the team, it's like your family," said Michael Sauer. "It's special to be with the guys, eat a good meal, and it's pretty cool to then look back at what we have shared together. Of course I'll call the family later. And it's funny you end up giving one person a call and you get handed off to like ten other people. It's great. Everybody's happy and it's a good feeling."
