After scoring just one goal in their previous two games---both losses---the Rangers exploded for four in the second period en-route to a 6-3 victory over the Washington Capitals Friday afternoon at the Verizon Center. Marian Gaborik, Artem Anisimov, and Ruslan Fedotenko scored in just over a four-minute span early in the second to stake the Rangers to a 3-0 lead, and Brian Boyle netted a hugely important goal with 3:11 to go in middle period after the Caps had cut the lead to 3-2. Brad Richards and Fedotenko---his second of the game---closed out the scoring for the Blueshirts---who received a three-assist outing from Ryan Callahan---in the third period.
