Del Zotto Eans Broadway Hat

As his repsonsibilties have increased over the course of the season, Michael Del Zotto's play at both ends of the ice has improved, as well, to the point where he is now one of the most consistent and successful performers on the New York Rangers. Monday night at The Garden Del Zotto continued his stellar play---picking up two assists, posting a +3 rating, firing three shots on goal, and logging 21:25 worth of solid ice-time---and in the process earned his second Broadway Hat of the season. "Every day I am just getting more and more confident and feeling better about my game," Del Zotto said in the post-game locker room. "When the coaching staff shows faith in me and rewards me with ice-time, it just allows me to play my game and not overthink things or worry about anything else." Del Zotto, who has recorded 14 points in his last 15 games, is now tied for 13th among all NHL defensemen with 21 points on the season; and his +25 plus/minus mark is second best among all players in the NHL. "I have been really impressed with how he has been playing," said Henrik Lundqvist following the game. "He's been outstanding in all areas, and it's just great for us."
