After taking an early lead, the Rangers fell behind the Islanders in the second period on Thursday before Carl Hagelin scored on a power play to make it a 3-3 game. From there on it was a deadlock. Both teams gained a point through 65 minutes of regulation and overtime, but the Islanders went on to win 4-3 in a shootout.
