Martin Biron was the first round pick of the Buffalo Sabres in the 1995 draft, and he payed more than seven seasons with the Sabres before being traded to the Flyers in 2007. Saturday night, for the first time as a Ranger, Biron will start in goal against his former club as the Blueshirts face the Sabres up in Buffalo. "There are certain teams, certain buildings, where the energy is there and the fun feeling is there, and this building brings that," Biron said following the Rangers' morning skate. "Obviously having played here for so many years, I have that to back it all up. But there is a great atmosphere here, and it's one I enjoy playing in. I don't circle games or look at it that way. I take it and treat this one like any other game." Biron has faced the Sabres 13 times already in his career---as a member of the Flyers and Islanders---and has posted an 8-4-1 all-time mark vs. his ex-teammates. Rangers head coach John Tortorella said that Biron is not starting Saturday because the game is against his former club before launching into an explanation of what Marty has brought to the Rangers organization. "The greatest things about Marty is that he is such a great teammate," explained Tortorella. "He keeps the room loose, and he is a veteran guy who understands his role. And he has won games. Just look at his record (13-7-0) since he has joined us. Everything about him has been good for this organization." Share your thoughts below on Biron making the start vs. the Sabres on Saturday.
