Michael Sauer provided a boost to the Rangers' defense corps by practicing Wednesday at Globen Arena in Stockholm for the first time in ten days. Sauer, who had been sidelined with a sprained shoulder, paired with Michael Del Zotto, while his usual partner, Ryan McDonagh, bumped up to pair with Dan Girardi on the top unit, what with Marc Staal's injury absence. "We've got to come together as a unit with Marc not here," Sauer said Wednesday. "We all have to do our part, and what we are doing we have to do it well. You welcome that kind of challenge as a competitor." As for his shoulder, Sauer said, "I was glad to be back out there. If you are mentally ready then your body will follow."
