From June 4-20, BlueshirtsUnited.com is counting down some of the most memorable moments for several Rangers players in 2011-12. We continue today with a look back at defenseman Michael Del Zotto's season. At only 21 years old, Del Zotto played in his third year as a pro and raised the bar considerably with career NHL highs in goals (10), assists (31), and points (41). Those numbers were higher than the ones that earned him All-Rookie status in 2009-10 and came at a time when he was focused on improving his defensive play as well. A minus-20 as a rookie, Del Zotto soared to a plus-20 rating this year. Here is a look back at five most outstanding moments from the past season.
