Marc Staal's 2011-12 season was a year of extremes -- from the low point of missing the first 36 games due to a concussion to the high point of scoring a playoff game-winner in overtime and playing a big role in the Blueshirts' march to the Eastern Conference Final. Over the 66 games he did play, the 25-year-old alternate captain regained his form at both ends of the ice and now appears poised for a breakout season next year.
