Roster Cut To 25

Defenseman Tim Erixon (pictured playing against Frolunda Friday night) was among seven players assigned to the Connecticut Whale Saturday as the Rangers trimmed their roster to 25 players. Along with Erixon, who recorded a pair of assists in Thursday's 2-0 pre-season win over Sparta Prague, defenseman Blake Parlett and forwards Ryan Bourque, Carl Hagelin, John Mitchell, Kris Newbury, and Dale Weise also were assigned to the Whale. In addition, defenseman Dylan McIlrath was returned to his junior team in Moose Jaw. The Blueshirts currently have 14 forwards, 8 defensemen, and three goalies on the roster. Share comments below.
