The Rangers (9-3-3, 21 pts) look for their seventh consecutive victory Tuesday night when they skate against their rivals, the Islanders (4-7-3, 11 pts), at the Nassau Coliseum. The game marks the second meeting this season between the two New York rivals. The Islanders won the first meeting October 15th at the Coliseum 4-2. However since then the two teams have headed in opposite directions. The Rangers are 9-2-1 in the 12 games that followed the Oct. 15 defeat, while the Islanders have gone 1-6-3 since.
